Although Kyle's story below pretty much captures the essence of our trip, I thought it was important to provide a few more visuals of the Second Annual Crew. Below you will find the Brocks, the Gravitts, and Nardi goer herself, Holly Wange. We also were blessed with a visit from our friends Jordan and Liz!! They showed us the island and the hotspots..from Ole' Barney to the Holiday to the SKKIPPPER DIPPPERRRRR....oh yea, sweet Daisy also made it to second annual as featured in the photo below.
Life from the perspective of Grayson and Hazel, with sometimes a few Mom thoughts thrown in.

2nd Annual
Kyle here for the 1st time. We recently traveled to Long Beach Island with our hilarious friends the Gravitts. There were many highlights over the course of the week but looking back, one in particular comes to mind...NARDIS!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, no string of sentences could do the above joint (jersey speak) any justice. Nardis, or as it was known throughout the week, NARDIIIIS, fulfilled every possible imagination of the word shady joint from the Pink Party Bus to the invitation to join them for breakfast at 7am. We toyed with the idea of heading to Nardis almost every night. But it took a visit from Holly Wange to persuade us to go. As she recounted stories of her nights spent leading a conga line around Nardis, we decided we could not pass this place up. So with some nervousness and a little excitement for the unknown, we ventured out.
It was a Wednesday night, towards the end of our trip. We walked in and immediately grabbed a table towards the corner with great visibility over the rest of the place. To be completely honest, I think we were all a little disappointed at first. The place was NOT bumping. Most people were just enjoying a beer and sitting around the bar, which is great, but it wasn't what we were expecting. Well, as usual, we were immediately drawn to the source of music, a digital jukebox. Elliott and I approached the jukebox high fiving each other with dreams of getting the party started with a little help from our friend Bon Jovi and his New Jersey anthem...livin' on a prayer. We knew that as soon as this song hit, the place would be off the chain. So we hit the button, headed back to our seats and just waited for the show to start. The song came, it rocked, we rocked along with it, but I don't think a single person outside of our table seemed to notice.
A few beers and a couple laughs later, the cover band for the night was beginning to warm up. They were known as the The Love Puppies. At this point, we contemplated heading out with no idea of what we would've missed. Thankfully, none of us were quick to act and The Love Puppies took the stage. They proceeded to rock the house with classics from Naughty by Nature's O.P.P. to Jackson 5s A B C. Halfway through the set they started passing around a tambourine. The tambourine stopped at the table in front of us. They obviously had absolutely ZERO rhythm and we saw the clear need for Jenny to rock the tambourine. With a quick shout Elliott got the tambourine passed along and Jenny picked it right up. She kept a good beat and we loved it. The song finished and the next one picked up. Jenny was about to set the instrument down when the lead singer called for some serious tambourine with her song. And, when the lead singer from the Love Puppies calls you out, you definitely respond. Jenny leapt out of her seat and rocked it as only my wife can with elbows flying and hips shaking. It was phenomenal and it brought the house down. The lead singer actually made a special trip off the stage in the middle of her song to compliment my wife. I mean, I knew she had talent but who knew she could rock the tambourine so sweetly. What a night!
This moment definitely called for a picture.
